Meet Jenny
Jenny Lee (they/she)
Professional Counselor Associate
__
As a Korean American nonbinary therapist, born and raised in Chicago, I've cultivated a deep awareness of the complexities inherent in navigating multiple identities within a society and culture that often dismisses diversity. My mission as a human, and therapist, is to reclaim our shared humanness by exploring the intricate interplay between our identities and bodies within our worlds.
Together, we'll embark on a healing expedition to rediscover the trailheads leading to your genuine truths and self-liberation. I'll be alongside you with a map and compass, as we venture into the unseen and overlooked parts of yourself, eager to be acknowledged. Our exploration will be guided by gentle curiosity, encompassing your whole being-mind, body, and soul-as you determine the direction you wish to pursue.
My approach to therapy integrates an anti-oppressive, multicultural, and social justice lens to contextualize your experiences and deepen our understanding of "What happened?". During our sessions, we will be using modalities including but not limited to IFS, Somatics, and Mindfulness techniques as a way to honor and celebrate all parts of you.
As a Professional Counselor Associate, I am supervised by Anjuli Shah-Johnson, LCSW, LMT.
