The Roots Are With(in) Us: A Plant Medicine and Meditation Series

The Roots Are With(in) Us: A Plant Medicine and Meditation Series

Join us in circle and play with the world of medicinal plants. Each session a new plant will be introduced and participants will have a chance to interact with this plant in embodied, collective, and expressive ways. Each event we will work with a different plant. The plants are carefully selected by trained herbalist, Sia Hanna, founder of Ahwa + Herbals.

Plants are our constant companions and persistent advocates to remember our connection to Earth. This is a time of immense heartbreak, rage, heaviness, and loss for many of our communities. Even simple acts, like drinking tea together, can be a spark toward liberation. With Earth we continue to renew our power and our softness, both personal and collective.

This series of gatherings will introduce working with selected plants as medicine and community care. On a deeper level, they invite the medicine and wisdom already within. Participants will leave with informational handouts and any materials provided or created during the workshops.

Each gathering will be offered as a stand-alone event; please join as many in the series as you would like, though be sure to register for each individually. These events are for BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) participants, and will be limited to 10 participants per session. *MASKS ARE REQUIRED & will be provided to all who join.
